FUN FUN Weekend

This weekend was my very last weekend before I go back to work on Wednesday! I'm so sad that my break is over, but this weekend was a great ending to my wonderful, long break! Cam's cousin Martha got married this weekend! Martha and I (and her husband, Grant) were also friends in high school, so I had a weekend full of family and friends!

On Friday night, Martha and Grant had a cocktail/dessert party for their family and friends. It was so much fun, and I got to catch up with so many friends that I haven't seen in a while.
Yesterday during the day, Cam's dad, step mom, and siblings came over for lunch to celebrate a belated Father's Day with his dad. It was fun to hang out with everyone because I don't think we have all been together since we went to Colorado in March.
Last night was the wedding and it was gorgeous! Martha was a stunning bride, and she and Grant just looked so in love and so happy. We spent most of the night on the dance floor, so needless to say my feet (and my whole body for that matter) hate me right now. I will say that the Deacons know how to throw a party! Here are some pics from the weekend.

Sarah, Me, Stephanie, Mary Ryan, and Martha White.....some of my high school and grade school friends. Love these girls!

And tonight, after a day of being lazy, Cam and I decided we would try our hand at making sushi! Other than going to four different places to get everything, it was really fun and turned out really well! We even made the wasabi and seaweed salad to go with it. It really wasn't that hard to do (the You-Tube videos were helpful!) We will definitely be making homemade sushi again!

And one more thing...please say a prayer for my mom. She broke her ankle on Thursday and has to have surgery on Wednesday to have a plate placed. She is really in a lot of pain and just can't get comfortable because she broke her ankle on both the outside and inside. :(
Have a great week! ~BSD

  2. I broke my ankle like that too several years ago and had pins put on each side! I know it is not fun at all! I'll say a prayer for a quick recovery!
