First things first....CONGRATS to STEPHANIE and JIMBO on their engagement! We are so excited for the both of you and cannot wait to celebrate the upcoming months with you. You are both wonderul friends, and you deserve the VERY best! Love y'all!
So we had a wonderful weekend here in LR! Sarah and Jared were in town for one of Jared's competitions for his MBA class. The girls spent Friday going to lunch and shopping, and we also headed downtown to listen to one of Jared's presentations! I was VERY impressed with their presentation and the obvious amount of hard work he and his group have put into their project. I hope they win this one! We headed to Loca Luna on Friday night which was yummy as always and then went out for a bit. Sarah and Anna (and Hank) stayed the night on Friday...it was fun and I love it when my girls stay here!

On Saturday Cam and I spent most of the afternoon at Lowe's and Home Depot preparing for our bathroom renovation that is starting this week!! YAY...finally! We got tile for the entire bathroom, shower head, faucets...you name it we got it. I have to order the light fixtures and mirrors, but other than that we are set to get started. Last night we cooked at home and went to bed in early in preparation for today!
This morning our renovation began. We do have a contractor coming in to do most of the work, but we started some of the demo ourselves for money and time sake. This morning we tore out the old vanity and counter top...I felt like I was on HGTV or DIY Network. It was really fun. After that, we started stripping wallpaper. Now this isn't your regular old wallpaper...this is painted over wallpaper. The previous owner of our house so kindly decided to paint over ALL of the terrible wallpaper in our house instead of stripping it. Stripping wallpaper is TERRIBLE without the paint but the paint brings a whole new level to the TERRIBLE! Cam was so frustrated at one point he started making up a song about how much he hated the previous owner for doing this to us! Quite comical...wish I had a video! We actually got pretty far today. I posted before demo pics and some pics of how far we got today. I will keep you updated as the project continues.
Goodbye semi-updated 70's bathroom....
After Day 1 of demo....still have some wall paper to strip but all in all a good day!
We are off to dinner with Linds and Erik. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
